Approach and Outcomes

WMS utilised a TUFLOW hydraulic model to test different scenarios and model the interim and final development stages of the terminal. The modelling results were also used to inform the sizing of the culverts within the proposed drainage channel. The primary outcome of the project was modelling and mapping of peak water surface levels, depths and velocities in the area of interest.

The Challenge

InterLinkSQ is a proposed 200 hectare freight terminal and industrial development in the Toowoomba Enterprise Hub, approximately 13 km west of Toowoomba. GenEng Solutions provides ongoing project consultancy for InterLinkSQ, which includes assistance with the Development Application (DA). As part of the DA, hydraulic modelling of the terminal development including major drainage paths through the site were required.
